Over the past 24 hours, the British Chamber has been contacted numerous times about international public exams in China. What follows is a short summary of the situation with as much information as we have been able to gather from schools, students, parents and other relevant bodies.

What's happened?
背景概述
Many students taking international qualifications in China are uncertain about whether and how they will sit exams. Recent disruptions in major cities in China due to the ongoing pandemic have led to cities being officially locked down in some areas (like Shanghai), and significant numbers of school closures in others (like Beijing).
This has led to the postponement of Gaokao in Shanghai and China-specific disruptions (with differing levels of severity) to international public exams, such as AP, IB, GCSE and A Levels. The disruptions have left some students worried as to whether this might disadvantage them, and about the security of their university admissions.
许多在中国境内参加国际考试的学生，目前都不确定他们是否需要参加考试，以及如何参加考试。疫情导致最近中国的部分主要城市受到持续影响，例如上海的封锁和北京大量学校的停课现象。而这不仅造成了上海高考的延期，中国境内的国际考试也受到了不同程度的影响（如 AP、IB、GCSE 和 A Level考试）。一些学生担心当前的局面让是否会对他们的学业造成不利影响，又是否会波及到他们的大学录取结果。
